Exterior timber battens are a modern way to provide privacy and sun shade in exposed applications. Also referred to as timber screening or sun shades, timber battens create a unique exterior facade.
To provide a uniform look, timber battens must be highly stable and resistant to warping. In cases where screening spans over larger window cavities, stability becomes increasingly important.
Lightweight Vulcan Battens are particularly suitable for screening applications, due to the superior stability created from thermal modification.
